RBRC biofuel plant opened

BANGALORE: Governor H R Bhardwaj inaugurated a biofuel plant established by Rural Bio-Fuel Growers Association and promoted by the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) at the Rural Bio-Resource Complex Project (RBRC) at Hadonahalli on Saturday.
On the occasion, a biofuel species, pongamia was planted in the premises and the Governor appealed to the farmers to make use of the plant in order to make it viable.

He said that the efforts made by the UAS in motivating and educating the farmer to adopt progressive methods of farming and to make agriculture a profitable enterprise are laudable.
He stressed the need for replicating such models throughout the country.
The Governor also visited the bakery and the value added product centre established by the women members of Self Help Groups (SGHs) of Tubagere Hobli promoted by the RBRC project and the fruits and vegetables marketing complex established in the premises of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hodanahalli.
